FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Competing as one of three NAIA teams in a field of NCAA Div. I and Div. II Cross Country powers on Friday, the Raven Women's Cross Country team competed in the annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival.
Originally scheduled for Saturday, the event was pushed up to Friday due to concerns over the weather forecast. The Ravens finished 34th as a team with a score of 876.
Individually, the team collected seven new season-best performances led by Mary Rolwes with a time of 18:57. Mary O'Connor (19:19), Isabella Guerra (19:28), Julia McLaughlin (19:54), and Emma Boever (20:15) followed Rolwes across the finish to account for the scoring runners.

The team remains in action next Saturday at the Billy Mills Invitational hosted by Haskell Indian Nations in Lawrence.
