Asher Sports Complex
The Asher Sports Complex opened in March of 2015 as Benedictine Baseball and Benedictine Softball moved to the North end of campus from their long time homes on the South end of campus. The Asher Sports Complex was made possible by the donation of land to the North of Larry Wilcox Stadium by the Asher family, long-time supporters of the college.
The Complex houses Olsen Stadium, home of Raven Baseball, and Ravens Field, home of Raven Softball. The Complex is currently adding its newest element, an indoor facility at the Northeast corner of the complex.
Olsen Stadium
The Raven Baseball team played their first game on Laughlin Field at Olsen Stadium on March 7, 2015, as the program moved to the North side of campus from the Ballpark at Benedictine to make way for construction of a new parking lot and the Murphy Recreation Center.Â
Laughlin Field originally had a FieldTurf infield as well as turf in foul territory down both the left field and right field foul lines with a grass outfield. Heading into the Spring of 2023 the field got a complete makeover replacing all of the turf while adding turf to the outfield.Â
From the bleachers on the third-base side, visitors have a great view of campus along with the Abbey beyond the facility and O'Malley Field.
The team has access to two full-sized batting cages as well as a double-mound bullpen for practices and warm-ups.
Olsen Stadium sits on the south side of the Asher Sports Complex and fans are greeted by Rocky on the back of the stadium press box, which also doubles as the offices fo the Raven coaching staff.Â
Ravens Field
Like the Raven Baseball team, the Raven Softball team has also moved to the north side of campus to the Asher Sports Complex from the program's original field, which sat where the Murphy Recreation Center was built.
Located on the north end of the complex, the  Ravens Field features a section of stadium seating for fans as well as additional seating down both the first base and third baselines between the stadium seating and the dugouts.
Raven Softball originally had access to its own two-tunnel batting cage as well as a full bullpen, but the batting cages have now been removed to make way for the currently under construction indoor facility.Â
The field surface was originally all natural when first opened in 2015. Head into the 2021 season, the field went through its first renovation with a new FieldTurf infield. That was followed In the fall of 2023, when the facility upgraded the outfield to FieldTurf to make the playing surface completely turfed.
When sitting inside the stadium, fans will not only enjoy a great view of the game but a breathtaking view of campus along with the Abby.
Parking for the Asher Sports Complex is located on the new lot that sits to the West of Larry Wilcox Stadium. Access to the complex is possible from a sidewalk along the North end of the remaining practice field that takes you down to the Complex.
