Game Recap: Women's Cross Country |

Women's Cross Country earns first-place finish at Raven Challenge

Isabella Guerra paced the Raven Women's Cross Country team to a first-place finish on Friday as Benedictine hosted the five-team Raven Challenge at the Atchison Golf Club at Bellevue.

Guerra took second place individually with a time of 6:14.5 as Benedictine finished with four runners in the top 10 individually. Mary Rolwes placed fourth, Julia McLaughlin placed seventh and Mary O'Connor placed 10th. Emma Boever placed 14th to round out the Ravens who counted toward the team score of 37 points. 

The Ravens finished 12 points ahead of second-place finishers Dodge City CC and Heart opponent Baker University. Central Methodist University placed fourth followed by Park University in fifth.

The Raven Challenge marked the end of the regular season for the team as they now turn their attention toward defending their Heart Championship on Nov. 6.
