Game Recap: Women's Cross Country |

Cross Country season continues with strong finishes at Greeno/Dirksen Invitation

LINCOLN, Neb. – Cross Country earned two top-five team finishes and a total of five person-best finishes on Saturday as they competed in the annual Greeno/Dirksen Invitational hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Raven Women placed third out of 14 in the Gold Division while the Raven Men placed sixth out of 16 in the Gold Division.

"Both men's and women's squad put together an amazing race today," said Director of Cross Countr/Track & Field Je'Kel Smith. "One thing we've been preaching this season is being tough and competing to the best of their ability. We are on track for what we want to accomplish, we just have to continue to improve and stay healthy the rest of the way."

Molly Rolwes paced the Raven Women with a time of 19:02 while Julia McLaughlin (19:30) and Emme Boever (19:58) both earned a personal best.

For the Raven Men, David Mannella paced the way with a time of 25:46, a personal best and the second-best time in program history. Luke Godard (27:29) and Philip Joseph (28:08) also recorded a personal-best time.
