Game Recap: Women's Indoor Track |

Track & Field earns 11 All-America honors at NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Raven Women placed 15th overall while the Raven Men placed 35th overall at the annual NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.

For the Raven Women, Caroline Cobo earned All-America honors in the 800 meters taking third place with a wimp of 2:11.88. Alison Ambuul earned All-American honors in the 600 meters taking fifth with a time of 1:34.97.

The duo was joined by Gemma Downey and Siena Michael on the 4x800 meter relay to earn more All-America honors as the relay team took fourth with a time of 9:17.87.

Natasha Ortiz also competed in the 5000 meters, placing 17th overall with a time of 18:02.46. Ortiz broke her own school record in the event and improved 8 spots on her qualifying possession of 24th.

For the Raven Men, David Mannella earned All-America honors finishing fifth place in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:26.36. Mannella broke his own school record in the finals. 

Mannella was joined by Joseph Accurso, Blue Caplinger, and Daniel Rogge on the Distance Medley Relay which placed fifth to earn more All-America honors with a time of 10:09.85. The team earned a trip to the finals with a qualifying time of 10:02.92 which set a new school record.
