ASHLAND, Neb. – Women's Cross Country competed in the Blazing Tiger NAIA Classic on Saturday, hosted by Doane College.

Benedictine finished in sixth place out of 27 programs from across the NAIA. The Ravens were the top-finishing member of the Heart ahead of Mount Mercy in seventh, Central Methodist University in 16th and William Penn University in 27th.

Emilie Nelson paced the Ravens with a time of 22:48 to finish in 22nd. She was followed by Catherine Aaron (29th), Julia McLaughlin (51st), Alexa Lamb (62nd), Cecelia Campos (70th), Gemma Downey (74th) and Mary Cate Golden (75th).

Benedictine turns its attention on final preparations for the Heart Championships on Nov. 9 at the annual event hosted this year by Mount Mercy University.
