Benedictine Wrestling returned to the road on Saturday to compete in the annual Grand View Open. They returned with a pair of fifth-place finishes in the Freshmen/Sophomore division of the open with a total of 35 wins on the day for their best performance at the tournament in program history.

Christion Griggs placed fifth at 165 pounds and Mason Harris placed fifth at 285 pounds. Doug Blaha posted a 4-2 record at 197 pounds while Dan Lantz went 3-2 at 149 pounds qualifying for the quarterfinals.

Griggs scored 14 points and went 6-2 to finish fifth place in the 64-man bracket at 165 pounds.
