Game Recap: Men's Track and Field |

Track & Field earns 2 All-American honors, sets a new school record at Outdoor Nationals

MARION, Ind. – Benedictine Track & Field's trip to the annual NAIA Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships netted a pair of All-Americans, a new school record, and five top 20 finishes. 

Owen Nolte took third place in the Men's 5000 m Racewalk with a time of 22:19.95 to earn All-America honors in the event for the Raven Men. Nolte entered the championships with the 10th-best time in the event at 23:42.39 and came in well ahead of his seed to earn third place.

Alison Ambuul took fourth place in the Women's 400 hurdles with a time of 1:00.74 to earn All-America honors in the event for the Raven Women.  Ambuul entered the championships with the ninth-best time in the event and knocked off nearly two seconds to earn her fourth place.

The Women's 4x400 meter relay team of Brynna Gormley, Ambuul, Antonia Smith, and Cayna Love placed 15th in the event, but in the process set a new program record finishing in a time of 3:52.59.

Ambuul placed 12th overall in the 400 meters while Love had the 15th fastest time in the 400-meter hurdles. 

David Mannella took 19th in the 1,500 meters while the Men's 4x800 meter relay team of Mannella, Daniel Rogge, Thomas Campbell and Philip Joseph placed 18th.

Both teams finished in a tie for 39th overall as the Raven Men scored 6 points while the Raven Women scored 5 points.
