CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Benedictine Men's Cross Country earned a third-place finish on Saturday morning at the annual Heart Cross Country Championships, hosted by Mount Mercy.
The Ravens scored 61 points with five runners finishing inside the top 15 and all scoring runners finishing inside the top 20.
Will Niederee and Brendan Alfonso paced the Ravens with two first-team All-Conference finishes as they placed 9th and 10th respectively. John Joyce and Joseph Accurso earned honorable mention honors for the Ravens, taking 13th and 15th place respectively.
Benedictine finished behind Park (25 points) and Mount Mercy (36 points) to finish in third. The Ravens combined effort marked the fastest-ever team effort in program history.
