Owen Nolte earns National Championship, Leah Kuhn earns All-American honors for Indoor Track

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Benedictine Track & Field earned a National Championship and two NAIA All-American honors at this year's Indoor Track National Championships.

Owen Nolte earned the National Championship in the Men's 3,000-meter Race Walk to give Benedictine its second All-America selection of the event. Nolte initially finished in third with a time of 12:20.95 – his best of the season – but was elevated to first place after the top two finishers in the race were disqualified. 

Before Nolte earned his championship, the Ravens earned their rise All-America honors of the meet when Leah Kuhn placed sixth in the Women's 3,000-meter Race Walk. She finished in a time of 15:30.12, establishing a new season best in the event.

In addition to Nolte and Kuhn, Benedictine competed in the Women's 4x800 relay, the Distance Medley Relay, and the Women's triple jump.

The 4x800 team of Josie Jansen, Cecilia Campos, Gemma Downey, and Mary Cate Golden placed 11th with a time of 9:18.53. The Medley Relay of Helen Ullrich, Cayna Love, Anna Campbell, and Catherine Aaron placed 16th with a time of 12:45.52.

Madison Helton competed in the triple jump and went a distance of 11.39 meters (37', 4.5") to finish 16th.
