LEAVENWORTH – Benedictine Track & Field opened up the outdoor season on Friday and Saturday at the University of St. Mary.
The two-day event featured a Distance Carnival on Friday and a Team Challenge on Saturday. The Raven Men scored 119 points to take first place out of 10 teams while the Raven Women placed third with 95 points out of 9 teams.
The Raven Men finished with 20 top-six results while the Raven Women finished with 17 top-six results, including three first-place finishes. Mary Lorang won the javelin, Naomi Welsh won the pole vault and Pauline Sroka won the discus.
