Game Recap: Men's Track and Field |

Men's Track takes second place; earns 3 individual titles and 16 All-Conference honors

FAYETTE, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Track & Field earned a second-place finish over the weekend for their efforts at the annual Heart Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Central Methodist University.

The Ravens scored 111 points to finish behind conference champions Central Methodist University. As a team, the team earned 3 event championships while earning 16 All-Conference selections.

To earn All-Conference honors, athletes must place in the top six. First through Third place equals First-Team, Second-Team, and Third-Team All-Conference, while placing fourth through sixth equals Honorable Mention All-Conference.

Owen Nolte continued his domination of the Race Walk, as he earned the conference title in the event after winning the NAIA title during the Indoor season. Joe Loughman won the Javelin, and Sebastian Michael won the 3,000 Steeplechase to round out the individual event champions for Benedictine.

Men's Results:
1,500 meters - Thomas Campbell, second place; Joseph Accurso, fifth place.
5,000 meters - Thomas Campbell, third place
5,000 Race Walk - Owen Nolte, first place. Daniel Crossett, second place. Luke Medina, fourth place. Sam Bartoszek, fifth place.
400 hurdles - Will Benson, fifth place.
3,000 Steeplechase - Sebastian Michael, first place.
Pole Vault - Ben Shonka, second place. Christopher Coyne, Jace Ohlson - fifth place.
Discus - Aidan Betz - sixth place
Javelin - Joe Loughman - first place
Decathlon - Joel Bichelmeyer - third place. Anthony Todd, fourth place.
