Raven Athletics inducts third class to Kansas Epsilon Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma

On Thursday, March 26, Benedictine College and the Raven Athletic Department inducted the Class of 2026 to the Kansas Epsilon Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma.

The ceremony inducted 41 student-athletes from across 16 of Benedictine's 17 varsity sports programs.

Chi Alpha Sigma is the first and only nonprofit organization that was established to recognize four-year college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. To be inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, a student-athlete must attend a four-year accredited college or university member of the NCAA, NAIA, USCAA, or NCCAA. The honoree also must achieve at least junior academic standing by the fifth semester or seventh quarter, as determined by the certifying institution, and must have achieved a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). Student-Athletes were also nominated by their respective head coaches.

"The group recognized this year continues to demonstrate the Characteristics of a Raven that we hold dear at Benedictine," said Benedictine Athletic Director Charlie Gartenmayer. "They have learned how to balance working towards earning their degrees to position themselves for success beyond Benedictine, while continuing to raise the level of competition for the programs they play for."
