Dear Raven Nation,
Welcome to what promises to be an extraordinary year at Benedictine College! As we kick off the 2026–2027 academic year, the energy across campus is electric. In just our first week, our students have settled into their classes, our community has united in faith and purpose, and our Raven student-athletes have already taken on some of the top competition in the country.
Our Fall teams are setting a fierce pace right out of the gate:

• Cross Country: Cross Country launched their season at the St. Mary's Sunset Showdown, with several runners earning personal best performances.
• Football: #3 Football showed tremendous grit in a high-stakes road battle against #7 Morningside.
• Soccer: Women's Soccer is on a dominant run with a spotless 3-0 start, while Men's Soccer stands at 2-1 after taking down #16 Ottawa on Legacy Field this past Saturday.
• Volleyball: Sitting strong at 6-2 after hosting a dynamic Benedictine Quad before capping off their first weekend on the road with an upset over #8 Bellevue!

Beyond the scoreboard, our student-athletes embody what makes Benedictine truly special – faith in action, relentless competition, and academic excellence.

Mark Your Calendars for Fall Highlights

• Moritz Library Dedication: Join us on Saturday, September 26, at 10:00 AM during Family Weekend for the official dedication of the new Moritz Library, modeled after Philadelphia's Independence Hall. Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett will deliver keynote remarks, followed by library tours and a special exhibition of founding documents.
• Home Openers & Conference Play: Catch Raven Football at Larry Wilcox Stadium for the home opener against William Penn on September 12, and again for the Family Weekend clash with St. Ambrose on September 26. Volleyball and Soccer are gearing up for Heart of America Conference play in the coming days as we begin September.
