KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) stamped its footprint as one of the NAIA's toughest conferences on Monday as the top three teams from the HAAC all appeared in the top 10 of the 10th edition of the weekly Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
The Raven men's soccer team moved up from No. 11 to No. 9 with 54 points seperating the HAAC's three top 10 programs.
MNU remained at No. 7 with 455 points while Baker University moved up from No. 9 to No. 8 at 425 points. Benedictine notched 401 points in the latest poll.
Missouri Valley College gave the HAAC a fourth ranked opponent as they checked in at No. 15 this week.
The HAAC and the Southern States Athletic Conference shares the lead among all conferences/independents/unaffiliated groupings with four teams among the Top 25. The four SSAC ranked members are No. 11 Auburn Montgomery (Ala.), No. 12 William Carey (Miss.), No. 14 Martin Methodist (Tenn.) and No. 16 Belhaven (Miss.).
The final regular-season poll will be released at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, while the final Modified Ratings Percentage Index (MRPI) and the 32 national championship qualifiers will be announced at 7:30 p.m.. The Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round pairings will be unveiled on Monday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m. via a live graphical show.
The Opening Round of the playoffs is held on campus sites on Nov. 23 at various times.
