KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time this season a member of the Raven baseball team earned Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) weekly honors when the latest list of honorees was released on Monday.

Sophomore Adam Burns (Overland Park) was named the HAAC Pitcher of the Week for his efforts in Benedicitne's opening-game win of their series with Baker University on March 29.

Burns threw a complete-game, two-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over Baker last week. The win was his second complete-game win of the season while striking out five to start the Ravens four-game series with the rival Wildcats.

He lowered his season earned run average to 4.15 and moved his season record to 2-3. The game was his eighth appearance of the season, his fourth start and his first shutout.

The Ravens conclude the series with Baker at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Baldwin City.
