KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released its first regular season Top 25 Women's Soccer Coaches' Poll on Tuesday and the Raven women held firm.
Benedictine remained at No. 19 in the first poll of the regular season after starting the season off with a record of 5-1.
The Ravens lone loss on the season came at the hands of now No. 12 Oklahoma City University.
Benedictine is one of two members from the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) ranked in the new poll as Graceland University moved up from No. 16 in the preseason poll to No. 13 on Tuesday. Avila University and Missouri Valley College are both listed in the receiving votes category.
Through six games, the Ravens are currently ranked in the top 10 in several team statistical categories.
They ranked first in the NAIA in shutouts with four, they are third in the NAIA in total assists (17) and total goals (25) and they ranked seventh in shutouts per game (0.670).
Individually, defender Ashley Washburn ranks third in total game-winning goals with two.
The Ravens welcome No. 16 Kansas Wesleyan University to the BC Soccer Complex at 5 p.m. Wednesday in their second home match against a fellow Top 25 member.
Wednesday nights game will be broadcast live on BRSNtv starting shortly before 5 p.m.
