KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After picking up their 11th win of the season on the road over Missouri Valley College on Saturday night, the Raven women's soccer team moved back inside the top 20 on Tuesday as the NAIA released the fourth regular-season Women's Soccer Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
Benedictine (11-1-0) is currently riding a three-match winning streak as they head into their third week of conference play, moved up to No. 18 this week with 279 points.
As the Ravens turn their attention to a match with Avila University at home on Tuesday night, they enter their third match of Heart of America Athletic Conference play at 2-0-0 and near the top of several NAIA statistical categories.
Benedictine is ranked eighth in the NAIA in goals per game (3.83), ninth in assists per game (3.0) and 10th in total assists (36). They also rank 11th as a team in total goals (46) and total shutouts (7).
Individually, Jordan Francescon ranks sixth in assists per game (0.75), eighth in total assists (9) and ninth in game winning goals (4).
Bethany Smith, the current Heart Offensive Player of the Week, is 10th in the NAIA in total goals (14) and 12th in total points (31).
The Ravens take on Avila at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the first of their final two regular-season home matches. They host Central Methodist University at 5 p.m. Saturday during Benedictine's Homecoming Weekend. Saturday night's match will also mark the annual Raven Senior Night.
