ST. LOUIS – The No. 24-ranked Raven women's soccer team earned their second shutout of the season on Saturday with a 4-0 win over Missouri Baptist University.
Benedictine (5-0) used a three-goal second half to secure the win over the Spartans.
Ashley Chandler scored the first goal of the match during the 32nd minute off an assist from Alysa Guzman to give Benedictine a 1-0 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Jordan Francescon recorded a pair of assists on the Ravens first two goals.
Francescon found Maggie Hair during the 57th minute to extend Benedictine's lead to two goals and then she found Bethany Smith during the 64th minute to extend Benedictine's lead to three goals.
The Ravens final goal was set up on a run by Liz Enna who drew a foul inside the box to set up a penalty kick opportunity for Benedictine. Bridget Brotherton converted the penalty kick to cap of the Ravens scoring effort against the Spartans.
