KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the second straight season, the Raven Men's Basketball team has earned a trip to the Buffalo Funds-NAIA Div. I Basketball National Championship tournament and for the second time in three games, the Ravens will face off against a Frontier Athletic Conference opponent.
No. 16 Benedictine (24-8) takes on No. 19 Montana Western (22-9) who earned a second-place finish in the Frontier this season at 7 p.m. Wednesday inside historic Municipal Auditorium in downtown Kansas City.
Benedictine is one of 18 repeat qualifiers from the 2014 tournament while Montana Western returns to the tournament after missing last season's tournament.
Montana Western finished their conference schedule with a 9-5 record. They lost out in their conference tournament as they fell to Lewis & Clark State College in the tournament championship game.
Benedictine, after going 12-6 in the Heart, earned the conference's host berth to the NAIA Tournament after Missouri Valley College took the Heart Tournament Championship berth.
