Tip Off: The regular-season finale for the Ravens has plenty on the line as they welcome the Central Methodist University Eagles into the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium. With one game remaining in the Heart regular season, seeding for next week's tournament is very much a dynamic situation. For Benedictine it's simple, beat CMU and they earn a spot in the 10-team tournament. Lose and the Ravens will need Graceland to beat Culver-Stockton to avoid losing a multi-team tie-breaker that would drop them to 11th in the final Heart standings.
About CMU: Led by Hall of Fame head coach Jeff Sherman, the Eagles are fighting for seeding as well as they look to split the regular-season series with the Ravens for the 15th time in 24 tries. Ron Lee and Jay Jones lead the Eagles in scoring at 11.6 ppg and as a team, the Eagles rank 10th in the NAIA in free throw percentage at 72.0. The Eagles are averaging 81.24 ppg this season, which ranks them fifth in the Heart while they have the No. 2 scoring defense in the conference, limiting their opponents to just 77 ppg.
About Benedictine: Benedictine returns home looking to snap a three-game losing streak and sweep Central Methodist for the second time in the past three seasons. The Ravens have won back-to-back games against the Eagles for just the seventh time in 24 season series heading into play today. The Ravens have the top scoring defense in the Heart, limiting their opponents to just 71.7 ppg through 27 games. Benedictine is 12-2 this season when they host their opponents under 71.7 points.
