Women's Basketball goes for sweep against Missouri Valley on Wednesday

The No. 22-ranked Raven Women's Basketball team returns home on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. to host the Missouri Valley College Vikings inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.

Benedictine is going for the season sweep over the Vikings having earned a win in the first match up of this season back on Dec. 2 in Marshall, Mo.

Tip Off: Today marks the 49th meeting between Benedictine and Missouri Valley since the Ravens joined the Heart of America Athletic Conference for the 1992-'93 season. The Ravens hold a 31-17 ad- vantage in the Heart series over the Vikings. With the win, Benedictine will have won four straight over Missouri Valley as the Ravens are going for their 12th sweep over the Vikings since joining the Heart. Benedictine earned a 69-52 win in the first match up this season in Marshall, Mo.

About Missouri Valley: Second-year head coach Timm Dixon is looking to get his first win over the Ravens as his Vikings enter play at .500 in Heart play. At 7-7, the Vikings lead the pack that sits three game behind the conference leaders. Baker snapped a three-game winning streak for Missouri Valley on Saturday when they beat the Vikings 69-60 while Missouri Valley is 5-4 in 2016 so far. As a team, the Vikings are ranked 15th in the NAIA in free throw percentage at 71.4.

About Benedictine: After suffering a 21-point loss at the hand of MNU on Saturday, the Ravens return home looking to rebound against Missouri Valley. Ralph Nolan Gymnasium has yet to see the Ravens loss this season and Benedictine brings a 15-game winning streak into today's game with the Vikings. Benedictine needs just one 3-pointer against Missouri Valley to hit 200. Since making the jump to NAIA Div. I, the Ravens have passed 200 3-pointers in a single-season in five of seven seasons, making a single-season high over that time period back in 2008-'09 with 233.

Up Next: vs. Evangel University (Springfield, Mo.), 2 p.m. Saturday. Benedictine earned a 58-26 win over Evangel in Atchison on Jan. 2.
