USAO sweeps day Saturday doubleheader over Baseball

CHICKASHA, Okla. – The Raven Baseball team returned to the road on Saturday for a four-game series against the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma.

USAO took the opening doubleheader over the Ravens, 13-5 and 14-1.

In game one, Curtis Marchand took the hill for the Ravens and went two innings before he was relieved. He allowed just three earned runs off 10 hits to suffer the loss.

At the plate, the Ravens were limited to three hits. Matthew Jarecki and Logan Elliott recorded a hit and RBI to drive on two the three earned runs allowed by USAO.

In game two, Ben Underhill earned the start and threw one a one-third innings before he was relieved. He gave up six runs off seven hits to suffer the loss.

At the plate, Benedictine scored one run off three hits as they were able to score off USAO reliever Mason Stasyszen.

Austin Windsor recorded a triple and run scored by Jarecki added a double. Paul Heit plated home the Ravens lone run.

The two teams wrap up their four-game series on Sunday with a Noon doubleheader.
