Women's Lacrosse earns first-ever NAIA ranking

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the first time in program history, the Raven Women's Lacrosse has earned a spot in the latest NAIA rankings.

The Association released the second regular-season Top 10 Coaches' Poll on Tuesday and the Ravens earned a No. 10 ranking with 44 points.

Benedictine earned a win over then-ranked No. 10 Ottawa University last week and then improved to 2-0 in KCAC play on Saturday when they earned an overtime win over the University of St. Mary to move to 3-0 on the year

In it's second year of invitational status, the NAIA poll is limited to 10 teams agian this season. Ottawa fell out of the rankings, but remained in the other's receiving votes category with 34 points.

The Ravens Wednesday opponent, Missouri Baptist University, is also listed in the other's receiving votes category with 24 points.

Benedictine travels to St. Louis for a Wednesday morning game with the Spartans.
