Rushing attack anchors Football's 49-13 win over Culver-Stockton College

CANTON, Mo. – The Raven Football team held Culver-Stockton College scoreless in the second half on Saturday en route to a 49-13 win over the Wildcats.

Benedictine (7-1, 2-0 Heart) used 485 yards of total offense while holding Culver (2-6, 0-2) to just 84 yards on the ground to pull away from the Wildcats in the second half.

The Ravens scored six of their seven touchdowns on the ground as the finished the game with 285 yards rushing.

Charlie Nihart scored five touchdowns, all on the ground. He scored twice in the first quarter and once in the second, third and fourth quarters, capping off the scoring effort for the Ravens with an 11-yard run early in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with 232 yards off 24 carries.

Shaefer Schuetz and Zach Hammond combined for 200 yards through the air. Schuetz threw for 187 off 15 completions while Hammond added 13.

Tre Adger was the Ravens leading reciever with 76 yards off four catches while Aaron Jackson finished with 51 yards off four catches with a two-yard touchdown receptions from Schuetz.

Defensively, the Ravens finished with one sack and three tackles for a loss of 13 yards with one interception. Cody Sisson and Jalen James finished with nine tackles each. Brett Shepardson and Luke Wozny combined for the sack while Shepardson, Demaria Walters, Terrell Johnson and Wozny accounted for the three tackles for a loss. Konner Walker accounted for the interception.

The Ravens return home on Saturday to host William Penn University on O'Malley Field at 1 p.m. as part of Benedictine's annual Homecoming Weekend.
