KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Raven Women's Basketball team moved to No. 19 with 97 points this week as the NAIA released the fifth Div. I Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
Benedictine (19-6) moves to the third-highest-ranked member of the Heart in the latest poll with four games remaining in the Heart regular season.
MNU leads all Heart schools at No. 6 with 180 points, followed by Central Methodist University. With an overall record of 19-7 and in a tie for first place in the Heart, the Eagles moved up to No. 16 with 110 points this week. Benedictine is next and is the last team from the Heart listed inside the poll. Baker University and William Penn University are both listed in the other's receiving votes category.
Benedictine's non-con schedule is still well represented in the poll. Oklahoma City sits at No. 7, Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) is at No. 13 and Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) is at No. 20. John Brown University is listed in the other's receiving votes category.
The Ravens start the final push towards the end of the Heart regular season tonight at 5:30 p.m. in Marshall, Mo., against Missouri Valley College. The Ravens earned a 64-58 win over the Vikings inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium back on Jan. 13. They wrap up their regular-season home schedule at 2 p.m. Saturday against Culver-Stockton College for Senior Day.
