The Raven Volleyball team continued their home stand on Saturday, hosting a Heart match up with Clarke University inside the Ralph Nolan Gymnasium.
Benedictine (11-8, 6-3 Heart) battled back throughout the match to earn a 3-1 win over Clarke (18-5, 6-3 Heart) after the Pride opened the match with a set one win.
The Ravens finished the match hitting .200 as a team with three players in double figures in kills. Fleur Wesselink led the attack with 16 kills, followed by Makenna Ketter with 12 and Sara Rahmanzai with 11.
Paxton Throne anchored the offensive attack, finishing with 45 of the Ravens 48 assists.
Defensively, Benedictine finished with 75 digs and 9 team blocks. Abby Brown led the back row with 22 digs, while Throne added 12. Sydney Wiedenmann added 10 to round out the dig effort. Aretha Victalino finished with three block assists and one solo block while Kate Hanson and Wiedenmann added two block assists and one solo block each.
The Ravens wrap up their home stand on Sunday as they host Mount Mercy University at Noon.
