The Raven Volleyball team closed out the week with a pair of road matches on Friday at Peru State College and Saturday at Graceland University.
Benedictine (1215, 7-4 Heart) fell to Peru State in five before sweep Graceland 3-0 to finish the week at 2-1.
Against Peru State, the teams traded sets before the Bobcats earned a 15-11 win in the fifth set to take the match.
Donetta Cage and Fleur Wesselink led the Ravens in kills with 14 each as the team finished with 51. Paxton Throne anchored the offensive attack with 41 assists as the team finished with 49.
Defensively, the Ravens finished with 74 digs as five players finished in double figures. Hannah Thomazin led the way with 15 digs while Wesselink and Throne finished with 14. Murphy O'Malley added 11 while Hailey Folkers finished with 10 to round out the backline defensive effort. At the net, the Ravens finished with 12.5 team blocks. Jade Rasmussen finished with four block assists and one solo block while Wesselink, Elizabeth Nobert and Cage accounted for the remaining three solo blocks.
In the sweep over the Yellowjackets on Saturday, the Ravens took all three sets 25-23 as they finished with a .250 attack percentage.
Wesselink finished the match with 12 kills pushing her to the top fo the Ravens career kills list with 1,303. Cage added eight while Kate Hanson finished with six. Throne recorded 28 of the Ravens 33 assists as the Ravens finished with 40 kills with just 14 errors.
Wesselink recorded her second double-double of the weekend as she led the team with 22 digs. Throne finished with 11 digs while Thomazin rounded out the backline defensive effort with 11.
The Ravens return home for their next match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as they host Missouri Valley College. In their first meeting of the season back on Sept. 24 in Marshall, Mo., the Ravens earned a 3-1 win over the Vikings.
