OMAHA – The Raven Volleyball team returned to the road on Thursday stepping out of Heart play for a match with the College of St. Mary.
The Flames earned a sweep over the Ravens, taking the match 25-21, 25-19, 25-23.
The Ravens finished the match with a .198 attacking percentage and hit over .250 in two of the three sets of the match. Fleur Wesselink led the attack with 12 kills while Elizabeth Nobert added eight in the loss hitting a team-high .571.
Paxton Throne set up the attack, finishing the match with 30 of the teams 32 assists.
Defensively, the Ravens finished with 25 digs and eight team blocks. Hannah Thomazin led the backline with nine digs while Wesselink finished with eight. Nobert led the front row with six block assists while Throne added three.
The Ravens return home on Tuesday, hosting a JV/Varsity doubleheader with MNU as they open up the second half of Heart division play. The match is also the Ravens annual Dig Pink match as the team raises funds for the fight against Breast Cancer.
