Women's Basketball runs winning streak to five with 19-point win over Clarke

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The (RV) Raven Women's Basketball team forced a season-high 25 turnovers on Saturday agaisnt Clarke University en route to a 75-55 win over the Pride.

Benedictine (16-8, 11-7 Heart) held Clarke (15-8, 9-8 Heart) to just 17 field goals at 34.0 percent as the picked up their fifth straight.

After leading 23-17 after the first quarter, the Ravens held the Pride to just six points in the second quarter to take a 39-23 ;ead into halftime.

The Pride were able to match the Ravens in the third quarter as each team scored 19 but they just couldn't break through against the Ravens as Benedictine led by double figures the entire second half.

Benedictine finished with a 38-13 advantage in bench scoring. Defensively, the finished with 15 steals with Sam Brennan leading the way with four.

LaRanda Thomas led the Ravens with 13 points while Skylar Washington added 12. Rylee Neill added nine while Brennan, Natalie Smaron and Ali Brzozowski added eight points off the bench.

The Ravens return for a pair of games this week, hosting Baker University at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday before taking on Graceland University at 2 p.m. Saturday.
