KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Raven Women's Soccer team moved up another spot in this week's NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll when the Association released the third poll of the regular season.
With 457 points this week, Benedictine (8-1-0) moved up to No. 3 as the program continued its climb up from their preseason ranking of No. 5.
Benedictine gained 11 points in this week's poll after a shakeup at the top of the poll. Keiser (Fla.) took over the top spot in the poll with 492 points and 11 of the available first-place votes. William Carey (Miss.) had their season-opening seven-game winning streak snapped since last week, suffering a loss at the hands of current No. 10 Westmont (Calif.). Despite the loss, William Carey still managed to carry the remaining seven first-place votes.
The entire top five was listed in a new spot this week. University of Northwestern Ohio moved up to No. 4 while Southeastern (Fla.) moved to No. 5.
Benedictine remains the top-ranked member of the Heart of America Athletic Conference as Central Methodist University, the Ravens next opponent, remained at No. 20 this week in a tie with Midland (Neb.).
Headed into their top 20 NAIA match up with the Eagles, the Ravens lead the NAIA in total assists with 41 and are second in total goals with 44. The Ravens have allowed one goal in the last 450 minutes of play as they travel to Fayette, Mo., today to take on CMU at 5 p.m. The match can be streamed on the Heart Conference Network at https://www.heartconferencenetwork.com/cmu/.
