COLUMBIA, Mo. – Volleyball stepped out of conference on Friday to take on the Cougars of Columbia College and fell 3-0.

The Ravens finished the match with a .204 attack percentage but allowed the Cougars to hit .385 in the sweep.

Haylie Dickerson led the Ravens with 12 kills while Joslyn Lewis added 8. Marea Wortmann anchored the attack with 19 assists while Taea Kapels added 8.

Megan Luby led the defensive effort, finishing with 14 digs while Wortmann and Hailey Folkers added 7 and 6 respectively.

The Ravens return home on Thursday to take on Central Methodist University in Heart South play at 7 p.m. They have also added a pair of matches on Friday starting at 3 p.m. Benedictine hosts William Penn University at 3 p.m. while the Statesmen will take on Columbia at 5 p.m. before the Cougars and the Ravens take on each other at 7 p.m. Due to changes in the format of conference play this year, the William Penn match against Benedictine will be considered as a non-conference match.
