WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The (5) Raven Men's Lacrosse team split a pair of games over the weekend as they traveled to Keiser University to take on (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan University and (7) Keiser.
Benedictine (1-2) earned a 13-6 win over Tennessee Wesleyan on Saturday before falling 16-14 to Keiser on Sunday.
Against Tennessee Wesleyan, Benedictine finished with a 56-37 advantage in shots with seven players contributing to the goal total. Peter Girard led the Ravens with three goals and one assist. Peter Doyle, Jordan Rodriguez, Jack Kandoth and Sean Molyneux scored two goals each while Brady Guck and Curtis Wesley scored one goal each. Doyle led the Ravens with three assists to go with his one goal while Guck added two. Drew Doran joined Girard with one assist.
Duncan Loud and Dustin Reis combined in goal for the Ravens with Loud earning the win. He gave up two goals while recording four saves. Reis allowed four goals while finishing with seven saves.
Benedictine forced Tennessee Weslyan into 17 turnovers while recording four caused turnovers James Carson led with two assists while Connor Buckley and Galen Root recording one each.
On Sunday, Keiser used an eight-goal third quarter to distance themselves from Benedictine. A three-goal fourth quarter from the Ravens made the come close, but Keiser was able to do enough to keep in front.
Girard led the Ravens in scoring for the second straight game and was joined with three goals by Guck. Molyneux, Steele Moran, and Grant Mallett-Bauerkempter added two each. Doyle and Carson finished with one goal each. Doyle added two assists while Buckley and Mallett-Bauerkepmer finished with two assists each.
Loud played the enter game in goal for the Ravens, tallying 18 saves in the loss.
The Ravens return to action on Feb. 29 when they travel to Marshall, Mo., to open up KCAC play against (9) Missouri Valley College.
