Men's Lacrosse falls to Indiana Tech 11-7 in battle of NAIA-ranked opponents

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The (7) Raven Men's Lacrosse team took on (2) Indiana Institute of Technology on Tuesday as the Ravens took on their fourth national-rated opponent in five games.

The Warriors scored six second-half goals to turn a one-goal advantage into an 11-7 win over the Ravens.

Indiana Tech outshot Benedictine 17-10 in the second half and finished with a 42-21 advantage in shots. The Warriors won 13 of 21 faceoffs, winning seven in the second half alone.

Benedictine took a 2-1 lead early over Indiana Tech before the Warriors finished with a 5-4 lead after the first quarter. After neither team scored in the second quarter, the Warriors scored two straight to open up their advantage over the Ravens to start the third quarter.

Five Ravens scored in the loss to the Warriors as Peter Girard and Brady Guck each scored twice. Joseph Doyle, Sean Molyneux, and Jack Kandoth scored one goal each ass Grant Mallett-Bauerkemper tallied the lone assist fro the Ravens.

Duncan Loud played all 60 minutes in goal for the Ravens. He finished the game with 17 saves while giving up 11 goals.

The Ravens continue their trip through Indiana, traveling to Upland tomorrow to take on Taylor University.
