UPLAND, Indiana – The (8) Raven Men's Lacrosse team earned a 17-8 win over Taylor University on Wednesday to wrap up their Spring Break trip at 1-1.
Benedicitne (3-3) used a six-goal third quarter to pull away from Trojans.
The Ravens led 7-3 at the break before scoring seven unanswered goals to start the second half. Sean Molyneux scored two of his team-high fourgoals during the Ravens 7-0 run to start the second half. Brady Guck and Jack Kandoth scored three goals each while Jordan Rodriguez scored twice. Steele Moran and Curtis Wesley scored one goal each to round out the Raven scoring. Rodriguez led the team with three assists while Grant Mallett-Bauerkemper recorded two. Peter Girard, Guck and James Carson also finished with one assist each.
Benedictine finished with a 43-25 advantage in shots while tallying 28 shots on goal.
Dustin Reis earned the win in goal for the Ravens, playing all 60 minutes with 10 saves. Defensively, the Ravens finished with 10 caused turnovers while the Ravens finished the game winning 15 of 27 faceoffs.
The Ravens return to action on March 21 as they return to KCAC play with a game against Midland Univeristy at 4 p.m. on Legacy Field.
