Ravens Men's Soccer dropped their season finale Saturday night.

The Ravens lost 3-2 to the Mount Mercy University Mustangs in a tough battle.

The Ravens fell behind quickly as the Mustangs scored 45 seconds into the match. After a deflection in the box, MMU was able to slot a shot past Nick Passinese for the opening goal.

The Ravens created a couple chances in the attacking end following the Mustangs goal, finally breaking through for an equalizer with 26:30 to play before halftime. Rodrigo Furst lined up a free-kick, sending it into the box and Girma Kassa headed it home to level the score at 1-1.

The Mustangs took the lead back with just under 22 minutes to play before half. MMU earned a corner kick and scored on a header to move in front 2-1.

The Ravens continued to battle in the second half, and it paid off with just under 23 minutes left to play. Robert Mike Keon passed to Adem Aroua, who spun to his right and launched a shot into the goal to tie the score, 2-2.

The Mustangs responded quickly, though, retaking the lead, 3-2, with 17:26 to play.

The Ravens continued to push forward, trying to find one final equalizer, but it wasn't to be and the Ravens lost 3-2.

The Ravens outshot the Mustangs 8-7 and 7-5 on goal. Passinese made 1 save in goal, and Dominic Florio made 1 save in 14 minutes of action.

The loss ends the Ravens season with a 6-9-2 overall record, and a 3-7-2 mark in Heart of America play.
