Women's Soccer NAIA Opening Round match set for 3 p.m. Thursday with Cumberlands (Ky.)

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Women's Soccer returns to the NAIA Opening Round for the 10th time in program history on Thursday at 3 p.m. as they take on the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) in game one of the Siloam Springs Bracket.

The winner between the No. 22-ranked Ravens and the No. 15-ranked Patriots will advance to the bracket championship match at Noon on Saturday against the winner of the John Brown-Friends match that will also be played on Thursday.

The Match-Up: Benedictine finished the season at 14-5-0 overall and earned the way into the playoffs as an at-large selection. The Patriots finished their season at 13-4-0 and also earned their way into the playoffs as an at-large selection. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools in the NAIA playoffs. Benedictine enters this year's playoffs with a total of 22 matches played in the NAIA postseason with a record of 12-8-2. Cumberlands enters this year's playoffs with a total of five matches played in the NAIA postseason with an overall record of 3-2.

About Benedictine: The Ravens enter NAIA postseason play winners of two of their last three. ... In 19 matches, the Ravens have averaged 2.7 goals per match with a total of 51 goals scored. ...
