PARKVILLE, Mo. – Raven Softball made it four straight over Park University on Wednesday with a doubleheader sweep over the Pirates, 13-5 and 7-5.
The two wins allowed Benedictine to run their current winning streak to six straight as they near the end of a 10-game road swing.
Abby Pressgrove took full advantage of her two hits in the opener hitting two grand slam home runs to finish the game with 8 RBI in support of Alexi Gilham and Alicia Armijo.
In a run-rule shorted game, Gilham picked up the win throwing three and two-thirds with three strikeouts.
Molly Chevalier, Megan Medhus, and Lenae Salinas all recorded a double at the plate with Blair Shanks added two RBI.
Gilham earned the start in game two inside the circle for the Ravens and picked up another win. This time, she threw six and two-thirds before Pressgrove entered and recorded the final out for the save. With the win, Gilham earned her 48th win as a Raven and tied the program record for career pitching wins.
Clare Heitz recorded two doubles at the plate while Shanks and Kaitlyn Fanning added one each. Madison Zaccardo added a home run and two RBI to round out the offensive effort.
Benedictine wraps up their road swing with a pair of games on Friday at Evangel University before returning home to take on NAIA-ranked Central Methodist University on Ravens Field at 1 p.m. Saturday.
