MARSHALL, Mo. – The Raven Softball doubleheader with Missouri Valley College was bumped up 24 hours in an effort to avoid Wednesday's forecasted rain.

The Ravens and the Vikings split with Missouri Valley winning game one 8-0 and Benedictine taking game two 9-0.

Abby Pressgrove suffered the loss in the opener. She went three and a third innings giving up four runs off four hits with two strikeouts. Benedictine was limited to three hits off the bats of Kaitlyn Fanning, Lenae Salinas, and Megan Medhus.

In game two, MacKenzie Pinkerton went the distance for the Ravens inside the circle to earn the win. Pinkerton threw six innings, giving up five hits to record the shutout with two strikeouts.

At the plate, the Ravens came alive for 16 hits after being limited in the opener. Kylie Hays, Blair Shanks, Molly Chevalier, and Madison Zaccardo all finished with three hits each. Hays recorded a triple with two RBI while Chevalier and Shanks added doubles. Zaccardo also finished with two RBI to round out the Ravens hitting efforts.

The Ravens return home for a four-game weekend. They host Mount Mercy University on Saturday and Clarke University on Sunday.
