Ravens Volleyball ran into a buzzsaw at home Friday night.
The No. 20 Central Methodist University Eagles downed the Ravens in straight sets, winning 3-0.

The home side responded well and cut the Eagles lead to 2 points, 15-13, but CMU again surged to a strong lead at 20-14. The Eagles went on to win the third set 25-18.

The second set didn't start the way the Ravens wanted as the visiting Eagles stormed to an 11-3 lead, forcing a Ravens timeout. The Ravens rallied following the timeout and trimmed the deficit to 14-8, but the Eagles rattled off 4-straight points to answer the home squad and push their lead to 10 points. That wound up being the winning margin as the Eagles won the second set 25-15, taking a 2-0 lead in the match, then finished things off in the third set.
