PARKVILLE, Mo. – Volleyball earned a second meeting with NAIA-ranked Park University in 10 days on Saturday, traveling to take on the Pirates in the Quarterfinals of the Heart Postseason Tournament.
After earning a set win over the Pirates in their last meeting, Benedictine couldn't break through in their third meeting with Park as they suffered the sweep 25-23, 25-17, 25-20.
Benedictine was limited to just .105 on their attack in the loss. Mary Pat Taylor led the Ravens with 9 kills while Maura Lickteig finished 8. Haylie Dickerson and Sabrina Oncins added 5 each to round out the Ravens top hitters.
Marissa Mantz and Haley Cahill split time on the floor setting up the attack. Mantz finished with 14 assists while Cahill added 13.
Defensively, Kristijana Istuk finished the match with 14 digs while Cate Milroy joined Taylor with 8 each. Taylor, Lickteig, Dickerson, and Oncins all finished with 1 block assist each.
The Ravens finish the season at 15-15 overall for the second straight season while the trip to the Heart Tournament also marked their second straight appearance in the conference postseason.
