DUBUQUE, Iowa – Raven Softball snapped a six-game losing streak on Sunday with a sweep, 3-1 and 11-6, over Clarke University in Heart cross-divisional play.

MacKenzie Pinkerton threw a complete game in the opener. She finished with 4 strikeouts over 7 innings while giving up just 1 run off 7 hits. The Ravens were limited to just 5 hits at the plate. Clare Heitz recorded 2 RBI while Madison Zaccardo added another.

In game two, Jenna Drish earned the win inside the circle in relief of Kera Willoughby. Willoughby gave up 2 earned runs off 5 hits over an inning and one-third before Drish entered and finished off the final 5 and two-thirds. She gave up four runs off 9 hits with a pair of strikeouts to earn the win.

At the plate, the Ravens jumped ahead of the Pride with a 3-run first inning. They broke the game open in the sixth with 4 more runs and then added another 4 in the seventh. Zacarrdo drove in 2 of the 3 in the first inning. Megan Medhus doubled in 2 more in the sixth while Kassidy James and Kylie Hays doubled in a run each. The runs in the seventh came off a solo home run from Zacarrdo and a 3-run home run from Elizabeth Hunt.

With her double, Medhus has now recorded 56 in her career with Benedictine as she closes in on the record of 63 set last season by Blair Shanks.

The Ravens return home for a six-game winning streak starting with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Tuesday with Baker University.
