Women's Lacrosse wrapped up another undefeated KCAC regular season on Tuesday with a 21-9 win over (RV) Ottawa University.
No. 6 Benedictine improves to 8-0 in KCAC play and runs their conference winning streak to 40 games with the win over the Braves.
The 21 goals marked the seventh game in KCAC play where Benedictine reached 20 or more goals as they finish the conference schedule with a 183-28 scoring advantage.
Benedictine opened up Tuesday with a 9-0 run that saw five Ravens tally a goal. Erica Odell got the scoring started for the Ravens, who led 7-0 after the fist quarter. Odell, Natalie Wechter, Aiden McEnerney, and Elizabeth Conley finished the run with two goals each while Margaux Gelbach added one goal.
The Ravens limited the Braves to just six shots in the first half as they held a 24-6 advantage. They finished the game with a 38-16 advantage.
Gianna Stalletti played into the third quarter in goal before giving way to Quincy Dolan. The duo combined for two saves with Stalletti earning the win.
Seven Ravens contributed to the 21-goal scoring effort. Odell and Wechter led the way with 5 goals each. Gelbach, McEnerney, and Conley scored 3 goals each while Clare Ryan and Rianna England scored 1 goal each. Conley led the Ravens with 4 assists, Grace Simonson added 3 while McEnerney, Ryan, and Odell added 2 assists each.
Gelbach led the Ravens with 8 draw controls while Wechter added 6. Claudia Garcia, Ryan, and Wechter finished with 2 caused turnovers each to round out the Ravens efforts.
Benedictine waits for their opponent in the KCAC Tournament on Thursday, April 21 as they earned a bye in Saturday's Quarterfinal round as the tournament's No. 1 seed.
