Heart holds annual Men's Basketball Virtual Media Day

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On the morning of their exhibition opener for the 2023-24 season, Benedictine Men's Basketball kicked off the Heart Men's Basketball Media Day interviews.

Head Coach Ryan Moody and senior guard Braden Belt sat down for this year's interview featured on the Heart of America Athletic Conference social media channels and embedded at the bottom of this release.

The Ravens have been selected at No. 6 in the annual Heart Preseason Coaches' Poll that was also recently released. Benedictine is coming off a season where they finished with an overall record of 12-17 under Coach Moody, who is entering his 12th season at the helm of the Benedictine Men's Basketball program.

MNU earned 136 points and is the preseason No. 1 selection. The Pioneers were followed by William Penn (131), Baker (118), Peru State (111), and Central Methodist (100). Benedictine earned 82 points for the sixth-place selection. The Heart sent five teams to the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship 1st Round last season. William Penn is the defending Heart regular season and tournament champion. The Statesmen have won four straight Heart regular season titles and four straight Heart Conference Tournament Championships.
