Men's Soccer played to a scoreless draw Friday night.

The Ravens and No. 24 Mount Mercy University Mustangs finished a physical contest, 0-0, thanks in large part to a quality performance by Ravens keeper Noah Reuscher.

The Mustangs controlled possession in the opening 10 minutes of the contest, but the Ravens began to even things out as the half progressed.

Kody Argaez nearly gave the Ravens a 1-0 lead after a nice buildup, but the Mustangs keeper made a sliding save to keep things knotted up at 0-0 through the first half.

The Ravens started the second half on the front foot, but the tide turned and the Mustangs began to find more chances on the attack. That's when Reuscher began to make his mark on the match.

With 26 minutes to play, the Ravens keeper dove to his left to block a shot. A minute later, the Mustangs dribbled into the box and had a good shot on goal but Reuscher was again there to make the save. Finally, with under 5 minutes left to play, Reuscher again came up big with a save to keep the Ravens from falling behind.

The attack of the Ravens created a couple chances in the form of free kicks in the second half, but neither of them seriously threatened the goal. They physical nature of the contest prevented the Ravens from being able to build up much in the attacking third of the field; the Ravens were whistled for 20 fouls and the Mustangs called for another 13.

The Ravens managed 2 shots on goal in the contest, coming from Argaez and Diego Acuna. Reuscher saved all 4 shots on goal from the Mustangs.

Next up for the Ravens (8-3-4, 4-2-3 Heart) is a Wednesday, Oct. 25 match at Park University.
