MARSHALL, Mo. – Benedictine Volleyball closed out the regular season on Tuesday with a 3-1 win over Missouri Valley College as they earned a regular-season sweep over the Vikings.
The Ravens won the first two sets 25-20 before the Vikings extended the match with a 25-20 win in the third set. Behind a match-high .231 attack percentage, the Ravens finished off the Vikings in the fourth set 25-12.
Three Ravens finished in double figures on the attack, as the Ravens finished with 52 kills at a .159 attack percentage. Mary Pat Taylor led the way with 11 kills, followed by Regan Bruggeman and Hokulani Sagapolu with 10 each. Haley Cahill anchored the attack with 25 assists while Marissa Mantz added 17.
Defensively, the Ravens finished with 82 digs, led by Evelyn Arreola and Sagapolu with 17. Taylor added 14 while Mantz finished with 10. Maura Lickteig finished with 3 block assists and 2 solo blocks while Sabrina Oncins added 3 block assists.
The Ravens finish the regular season with an overall record of 20-7 and a 12-5 mark in the Heart. As a result, the Ravens have earned the No. 4 seed in the 2023 Heart Postseason Volleyball Tournament. The Ravens will host Grand View University at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Quarterfinals.
