The Ravens followed up 4 first-quarter 3-pointers with 4 more in the second quarter as they were able to combine a 50-percent 3-point effort with a 7-0 advantage on second-chance points to extend their lead to 52-33 at the half. Riley Bruggeman gave the Ravens a spark off the bench, scoring 11 points in the first half to help the Ravens with a 19-6 advantage off the bench.
Benedictine continued their strong effort from beyond the arc in the third quarter, which allowed them to keep control of the game. Lauryn Dubbert connected on 3 3-pointers in the quarter while Kennedy Nicholson added another to give the Ravens 12 3-pointers as the third quarter ended.
CMU started the final quarter outscoring Benedictine 9-2, but a 3-pointer from Jose Weishaar put the Ravens in front 77-58 immediately following a timeout from Ravens head coach Chad Folsom. Benedictine finished the fourth quarter with an 11-point advantage as they won their second straight over the Eagles and their fourth straight to open the season.
Five players reached double figures, led by a game-high 26 from Dubbert. Jennifer Jacobs added 15 while Bruggeman finished with 13. Weishaar and Carmen Morales added 10 points each.
The Ravens finished the game with a 51-16 rebound advantage while scoring 14 second-chance points off 14 offensive rebounds.
