In game one against Texas Wesleyan University, the Rams scored 2 runs in the first, second, and sixth innings to keep the Ravens at arm's length as they earned a 6-3 win.
Ben DeLaForest threw the first three innings and suffered the loss. He scattered six hits over his outing, giving up three earned runs before Ben Bowman and Harper Beattie combined for the next two innings, shutting out the Rams. Matthew Gephardt threw the final inning, allowing two runs off three hits.
At the plate, the Ravens finished with seven hits. Brylan Haas went 2 for 4 with a double and triple Tyler Marchand added a double and RBI while Brice Martin and Jack Harpoon added an RBI each.
Benedictine returns to Laughlin Field at Olsen Stadium on Saturday and Sunday as they are scheduled to host a four-game series with Bethany (Kan.) College. The first pitch on both days is scheduled for Noon.
