(RV) Men's Lacrosse earns statement win on Senior Night over (RV) St. Ambrose

(RV) Benedictine Men's Lacrosse secured no worse than second place in the Heart on Friday night with a statement win over (RV) St. Ambrose University.

The Ravens used an 8-goal second quarter to pull away from the Fighting Bees en route to a 19-7 win on Legacy Field.

Zachary Torres assisted on the Ravens first two goals of the game from Joey Calabria and Mason Eberle. Liam Waldron added an unassisted goal to make it 3-0 midway through the first quarter. St. Ambrose answered with three straight to send the game into the second quarter tied at 3-all.

Benedictine opened the second quarter with four straight goals – two from Jordan Rodriguez, another from Eberle, and the first of the night for Mac Postel Jr. The Fighting Bees stopped the Ravens' streak before Benedictine added four more as Postel Jr. scored three more times with Eberle adding his third.

The Ravens were steady in the second half scoring four goals in each quarter as they sealed the win on Senior Night.

Eberle led the Ravens with 7 goals, followed by Calabria and Postel Jr. with 4. Rodriguez finished with 2, followed by Waldron and Joseph Bianchi with 1 each. Torres led the Ravens with 5 assists while Bianchi and Postel Jr. finished with 2 each. Eberle was joined by Waldron, Thomason, Davis McMullen, and Charlie Louree with 1 assist each.

CJ Besuzzi earned the win in goal. He went all 60 minutes, finishing with 12 saves. Max Thomason won 20 of 25 face-offs while Bianchi went 4 for 4. Jack Northrup finished with 3 caused turnovers while Carson Huerter and Aiden Nicholson added 2 each.

Benedictine hits the road for the season finale on April 20 when they travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa,  to take on No. 5 William Penn University at 2 p.m.
