Women's Soccer snapped a three-match winless streak Wednesday evening.
The (RV) Ravens traveled to Concordia, Neb., to pick up a 2-0 win against the Concordia University Bulldogs.
It was a first-half brace for Jenna Wilken that paced the Ravens in the road win. Wilken's first goal came in the 21st minute with an assist from Payton Vogelbacher.
It didn't take long for Wilken to double the Ravens lead as the sophomore forward scored in the 23rd minute to make it 2-0 in favor of the Ravens.
Earning the clean sheet for the Ravens was keeper Mackenzie Korzenecki. She made 4 saves on the night as the Ravens defense helped keep the pressure off. The Bulldogs managed just 9 shots in the contest with only 4 on goal.
The Ravens also had 4 shots on goal with attempts from Vogelbacher and Christine Znidarsic to go along with Wilken's goals. The pair of goals ties Wilken for the team lead with Audrey Bolan and Brook Hatzmann early in the season.
Next up for the Ravens (2-3-1) will be the Heart of America Conference opener as they take on Culver-Stockton at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14 in Canton, Mo.
